The video starts in the midpoint of the procedure, we used sound effects to increase emotion and feeling of the operation and as the camera slowly moves in to see the action we instantly cut and started the video from the beginning. This few seconds is key to going viral as you are competing against so many different videos online and people have a strong tolerance to seeing the same thing over and over again.

The Topic

Obviously tattooing someone under an aesthetic is pretty dramatic and is a strong reason why this video did so well online. You need to understand that normality is ignored and absurdity sells, you are known for the most absurd things you do. Great marketing is uncomfortable it demands an opinion, a response or an emotion. It calls for either love or hatred, when your content is indifferent, if people don’t love your or hate you – that is the least profitable outcome. Don’t be afraid to try something out of the ordinary. If you look at a lot of the comments on this video you will see a lot of hate towards the procedure but it still resulted in millions of views, hundreds of thousands of shares and follows. It really propelled Omanis Tik Tok and Facebook pages to a great base of followers in a matter of days.

Encorporating trending music can significantly boost a video’s reach. We used a track by Drake, a popular choice in many viral videos. The song’s lyrics were actually tattooed in the video adding an extra layer of relevance and depth to the content.
